GR Freshpedition

Ge_freshpedition_lg

GE is introducing a new French door refrigerator specifically engineered to push the limits of fresh. These refrigerators have been redesigned to offer the most advanced ice and water technology, using TwinChill evaporators and a temperature-controlled drawer to keep foods fresher longer.

To prove it, GE engineer Justin Berger and celebrity chef Ben Sargent will drive over 2,000 miles across America to stock up one of the fridges with the freshest produce. The team chose the 2012 Ford F-150 to help take on this challenging trip with its combination of capability, power and efficiency. The food-packed fridge, powered by a power generator, will be transported by the F-150 to an unsuspecting person in a remote, fresh produce-deprived area in the U.S.

The campaign is called Freshpedition, a crusade for freshness, and will be filmed entirely by the team. The journey will be told through five online webisodes with product demos and mini-adventures and can be tracked on the Freshpedition website.
